Take 297

7 Quick Takes Friday
--- 1 ---
I know that anyone who is actually in the know about such things would probably laugh at me... but I'm addicted to making homemade Asian food. Like, give me all the rice, ginger, oyster sauce, soy sauce, garlic, oh good Lord I hope it has broccoli, too. Anyways, I've made a lot of different recipes... and this Chicken & Broccoli is my new favorite. I just wish I had made double of everything... because... we ate it all.

(Oh, and I replaced corn starch with flour. Because we never feel good after corn starch.)
--- 2 ---
We've had a serious spell of weather here. For a couple of weeks now it's been over 80 degrees every day. Air conditioning isn't really a thing here... Shockingly, the Malls aren't even air conditioned. My kids have played with a bucket of water every day for the past at least 5 days... And everyone has been both hot and happy. These summer days make me a little irresponsible about getting everyone to bed on time, acting like it's a school night, etc. etc. etc.

But it feels. so. good.
--- 3 ---
We went to a beautiful park (Planten un Blomen) last weekend with Colleen and even though it felt like summer, we saw spring-y cute bombs:
(Oh and yes, I want to see their summer water, music & lights show!)

So, I have searching my own blog to find my favorite coffee shop when we're ready for a refill on beans for our espresso machine... (Their relationship with Google Maps is apparently not a very strong one...) And I finally got around to saving it as a favorite on Google Maps... Which happens to be the first time I've ever done that.

Now when I zoom out and look at the city of Hamburg, my coffee shop has a heart symbol over it. To remind me... of my cappuccino addiction. hah.

Dear Stranger who spent $1,562 of our money on basketball tickets:

I don't think so.
We notice that sort of thing.
Thank you God for good fraudulent expense policies.
--- 6 ---
If I had a dollar for every email that referred to an unattached attachment...

I'd be rich.
So embarrassing. (But I still wouldn't spend those riches on basketball tickets. lol.)
--- 7 ---
My parents are coming! It's taken me six years of marriage to have life put together enough to have my Mom's favorite wine in the fridge when she comes... Really, I always forget! But, now?! We're ready!

Mom and Dad, come on down! We can't wait to see you!!

Happy Friday!
