Take 290

7 Quick Takes Friday
--- 1 ---
I got to meet a photographer a few weeks ago through work... And I'm always amazed by people's lives. Check out her video here. That's right. Some people get to photograph and film triathlons. In beautiful places. Amazing the lives that people get to live. I was glad just to get to meet her!

The other night I was relaying a story to my husband about yelling my son's name in a grocery store because he was not where he was supposed to be (next to me). I told the story in the kitchen, mimicking my grocery store tone, "George! George!" Until a feeble, but obedient, "What??" from the stairs came floating down... That's right. George was up. Sitting on the stairs. Listening to us chat. And I had unknowingly called him out. Hah! Mom win.

"Hey Rowan! Go stand in front of that car and I'll take your picture!"

We moved to a salt grinder at our dinner table, as opposed to a shaker. Well, my post-Easter report is that it's hard to hold a hard boiled egg and grind salt onto it. #ClassyProblems

I ran across a diagram of what's legally required for your bicycle in Germany. I don't know how up-to-date this one is, but I'll tell you one thing: Germans are serious about bicycles. Everyone has them. Everyone uses them. And apparently, they're serious about how to stay safe on them. #GetReflective

Check this out! It's a way to "Find a Friend" who knows the language you want to learn and who wants to learn your language. You can contact them directly and it's called being a "Tandem Partner". You help each other by speaking both languages. If I put my post code, there are about 30 people--including one couple who posted together. The internet is amazing.

We are staring directly at a weekend with temperatures in the high 50s, low 60s and sunshine. I'm giddy. I hope I spend hours in the sun. One cool thing about our house is that our bedroom faces South, so in the afternoon on a Saturday, when it's sunny, the wall of glass doors allows the sun to shine directly on my napping spot. It's... indulgent. :)

Happy Friday!
