Take 376

7 Quick Takes Friday
--- 1 ---
I had a priority shift this week after a Monday stint of 2.5 hours of contractions... The big day wasn't Monday, but I now have cleaned (almost all) the bathrooms, packed a hospital bag (including gummy bears), visited the hospital, and made freezer meals. Oh and the plan for the other kids is in place and communicated to their school. PHEW. (Now the ideal organization of the home can continue next week... now that that's all in place.)
--- 2 ---
In other areas of priorities... we had a small death in the family over Christmas... Our crockpot. Considering we weren't really willing to do postpartum life without one, we got a new one and it's a size smaller. So far, I'm very happy. We'll see if all my recipes fit in it... but I'm happy about it. Bring on easy throw-it-in-the-crockpot dinners until I'm back on my feet.
--- 3 ---
I got around to a seasonally-late showing of The Christmas Story and was tickled to discover that Ming Ming from Elf is the same actor as Ralphie (Peter Billingsley). Hilarious.
--- 4 ---
I'm basically done with organizing the top floor of our house. Here's a quick before and after of our laundry room.
And yes, these photos make me laugh. You can't really tell what I did... but I'll tell you, I can now reach all the things on the top shelf without a stool. I can pull thing box down and it has all my laundry stuff in it. I also refuse to take a "perfect with no laundry" photo... because #reallife And no, it's not Pinterest worthy LOL.
--- 5 ---
I can't remember if I've said this before... but does it make me mean that there are some Instagram accounts where I'd prefer to follow just their feed and not their stories? Or vice versa? Is this just me??
--- 6 ---
In other media news... having 6 weeks off before your due date is dangerous... I'm going to be completely caught up on all my shows before this baby is born... What will I do?! Rewatch old chick flicks?! Sigh. Send recommendations. (The Crown, Mrs. Maisel, and The Morning Show are all done.)
--- 7 ---
In my last month of pregnancy, I'd like to declare that while I found the hand controls for the radio on the steering wheel to be a bit... luxurious and unnecessary... I find them extremely helpful at my current size (huge).

Happy Friday!
