Take 339

7 Quick Takes Friday
--- 1 ---
Happy Easter! It was an unbelievably sunny and 70s weekend in Hamburg. That weather is about as warm as the typical summer gets here, so we were so excited to soak it up on our 4 day weekend with our new grill.
--- 2 ---
I don't know what it is about this, but my daughter wearing a hair bow for Easter just threw me way back. She received hair bows when she was born, and I've dutifully kept them around despite her total lack of desire to wear one... and then on Easter... BAM. All Day. Matching her dress. I was kind of giddy about it.
--- 3 ---
Toward the end of Easter, I laughed while watching my blogging friend Nell share an Instastory with the text, "Sugar fuel is real." Yes. I think it's possible that all the Mamas and Papas were feeling that...
--- 4 ---
I never noticed it, but this past week includes the birthdays of my two Grandpas (George and Bud) and Brian's great-Grandpa (Clem). I think a movie night of old family photos and videos should be in the works.
I'll personally show up just for the fashion tips. Seriously. You should see the Easter dresses!
Or, just give me those hats and some gloves. I'm all in. (The lady on the right is Grandma Mary, the one I'm named after.)
--- 5 ---
Speaking of Grandpas... Brian and I enjoyed watching the Masters. And in the memory of my two Grandpas, I also napped in front of the Masters

I can't tell you how many memories I have of sitting in living rooms in New York with two sounds: soft snoring from (either) Grandpa and the low, monotone golf announcers. Sigh. Home sweet home.
--- 6 ---
I just want to take a brief moment to share that:

I won our C-family March Madness Bracket this year!! YUP. No expertise. Watched maybe the end of one game... AND I WON! I didn't really win anything. LOL. But I'm still through the roof about it! :)

--- 7 ---
Last but not least, I'll leave you with a little fun image. On a weekend morning in our household, the cappuccino machine goes on first thing. That very beloved machine has an auto turn-off setting... And I'm sure that there's math behind that setting. Maybe it's 30 minutes. Maybe it's 20. Who knows. All I know is that it seems to auto shut-off at exactly the same moment I think, "A second cappuccino would be nice right about... NOW."

Happy Friday!
