South Bend

Greetings from South Bend! Today is day 1 of my vacation with the K. family. I have already started reading, praying, and resting: the three main activities planned outside of just being around the people I love in South Bend. It's going to be great!

Melissa and I drove up to South Bend last night after the missionaries hosted 3 prayer meetings in different parts of the South Side (New Jersey St., East Fountain Square, and Union St.) It's quite the marathon of meetings and uses all of our manpower. It was my first time at the New Jersey St. meeting, which was a treat because I had done missionary work on that street the day before. It's amazing how much changes in a year! Many residents have moved, some have passed away, and some houses have even physically changed, or are simply gone. It was a joy to meet people that Rus knew in the area.

We also had a BBQ this past weekend in the Union St. area and had about 125 people there! It was a successful event. We had new South Siders there, the regulars, and branch members all together for a Lord's Day. Praise God for our common life together!

That's the report from here... No pictures this week, but stay tuned in the future.
God Bless!
